About
The Z-Museum in Treungen has many thematic exhibitions with objects from different eras. Here you will join a journey to the time of our ancestors through over 50 exhibitions presented with impressive breadth and detail.
The exhibitions are renewed every year, and many of the visitors return year after year.
Here you will find exhibitions of rare cars and vehicles, the history of the telephone, hats and headgear throughout history, an old general store, advertising signs, sewing machines and textile production, the history of printing, vintage bicycles, cameras, oriental rugs, toys from the old days and much more. The collections include thousands of rare objects presented in the different departments. You can wander around for hours and learn about the past and history.
A visit to the Z-Museum is both surprising and educational.
Did you know, for example, that the Tsar of the old Russian Empire had eight generals. Each of these received a pocket watch in solid gold. It was Swiss-made and produced only for the Tsar. It had the day, date and moon phase in Russian. One general escaped during the revolution to Bø in Telemark. The only known of the eight watches can be seen at the Z-Museum with the entire dramatic history as a backdrop.
