Mountain Biking

3854, Nissedal

About

One hundred kilometers of bike paths on top of Heimdalsheia in Nissedal are a paradise for cyclists. Svaberg, adapted boulders and solid suspension bridges are in place on the heath between Gautefall and Heimdal.

Well marked

Part of the trail network is marked with signs and small stone cairns. Not a single coat of paint has been used to show the way out in the heath. The markings are usually two stones on top of each other, small cairns that show the way. We recommend buying a cycling map at Treungen Sport & Fritid.

Safe with QR

You can start at Gautefall, Felehovet or Heimdal. Signs with place names and small plates with printed QR codes are placed at the starting point and out on the trail. Here people can scan the code and get information about maps, information, GPS coordinates and a description of the area they are in.

Tips before the trip

Everyone is welcome to cycle in the area, but we ask you to be considerate of the nature. Be aware of weather conditions, if there has been a lot of rain, the trails are less suitable. In that case, it is wise to wait until better conditions to take the best possible care of wear and tear on the nature and trails. Tip! Get a truly unique experience at Canvas Hotel Telemark!
