About
The Fjone ferry in Nissedal, MF Nisser, takes you across the Fjonesundet between Fjone and Framnes, a 500 m wide strait in Lake Nisser. The ferry connects the east and west sides of Nisser and is part of county road 3380 towards rv. 41, Telemarksvegen.
The Fjone ferry is Norway's smallest cable ferry and has room for three cars or one truck/bus. The ferry is owned by Nissedal Municipality.
Café
Fjonesundet Kafè og Ferje can be found on the east side of the strait. Here you are welcomed in bright and friendly premises. The café has room for approx. 40 guests. Should you need premises for confirmations, baptisms, birthdays or something, these are perfect. Here there are sanitary facilities for the disabled and there is a bar with full rights.
The outdoor dining area has a covered terrace with space for about 20 guests. The terrace is heated when needed in spring/summer and winter.
